Transfastener Attachment Devices
General Information
For use with MSA Latchways engineered horizontal lifeline systems
Attach karabiner directly to harness front connection point. Do not increase the supplied connector length
by interlocking additional karabiners.
85080-00, Standard
Attachment and removal of the Standard Transfastener from the
system is via an entry terminal P/No’s. (85020-00 standard)
(85090-00, 85260-00 85262-00 & 85551-00 screw-gate type)
85085-00, Removable
Removable Transfastener can be attached at any point in the
system without the need of entry/exit components.
Attachment requires the gate to be positioned to one side: inserting
the cable between the starwheels & locating the cable in the body
recess; sliding gate to opposite side & withdrawing the cable from
the body recess allowing the cable to locate on the underside of
the slipper, between the starwheels. Secure the Transfastener by
fitting the karabiner through the gate & body
Always ensure the gate and the body are in the closed position &
secured by the karabiner with a minimum width / diameter of 10.0
mm before use.
